2010 February Cu Imports Data Analysis

SHANGHAI, Mar. 15 (SMM) --

Scrap Copper
China imported 280 kt of scrap copper in February, down 17.02% from January's 340 kt, and which was in line with SMM predictions. Low import volumes were also a result of the Chinese New Year holiday, and SMM believes orders received in February will push up both March and April volumes due to delayed shipments. China's scrap copper imports during March should increase to between 350-400 kt.
