Chile's Antofagasta Copper-Molybdenum Mine Resumes Production

SHANGHAI, Mar. 9 (SMM) -- Production at Los Pelambres, owned by Antofagasta was resumed after being disrupted by electricity outrage after the massive earthquake in Chile on February 27th. The spokesman of the company said production at the mine would not be affected by the earthquake.

According to the company report, Los Pelambres produced 311.6 kt of copper, and 7,800 mt of molybdenum in 2009, and planed to produce 407 kt of copper and 9,500 mt of molybdenum in 2010.
