UC Rusal Says to Hike Aluminium Output 3 pct in 2010

HONG KONG, Feb. 22 -- United Company Rusal Plc (0486.HK: Quote), the world's largest aluminium producer, said on Monday it plans to increase aluminium production by 3 percent in 2010.

The company said it would increase production at its Siberian plants, as well as at Alscon in Nigeria, KUBAL in Sweden and potline 5 at the Irkutsk Aluminium Smelter (IrkAZ) in Russia.

UC Rusal also aimed to increase alumina output by 7 percent in 2010.
