DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightBEIJING, Jan. 29 -- Chinese equities close higher Thursday after four days of losses, led by tourism-related and technology-related shares.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.25 percent, or 7.53 points, to close at 2,994.14 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.61 percent, or 73.7 points, to close at 11,903.99 points.
Combined turnover totaled 147.96 billion yuan ($21.76 billion), shrinking from 154.13 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Losers outnumbered gainers by 141 to 715 in Shanghai and 182 to 665 in Shenzhen.
