[Cu] Summary - 2009/11/16 Scrap Copper Market

SHANGHAI, Nov. 16 (SMM) -- North China, today #1 scrap copper was traded at RMB 48,000-48,300/mt, the optimistic sentiment dominated market players, and cargo-holders kept offers firm, and inquiries were up as well, leaving brisk transactions.

    East China, today #1 scrap copper was traded at RMB 48,000-48,200/mt, the rising SHFE copper prices drove up purchasing sentiment, resulting in improved trading sentiment, but cargo-holders were reluctant to move goods. 

    South China, today #1 scrap copper was traded at RMB 47,900-48,100/mt, consumers were cautious about purchases, and transactions increased slightly, but any increase was limited by marked price hike by traders.
