






SHANGHAI, Jan. 7 (CBI China) -- North China today 1# bright copper traded at RMB 28,300-28,800/mt, as the downstream copper rod producers sold well, the demand for scrap copper exceeded the current supply, leading continuous increase in scrap copper prices, but transactions were slim.
East China today 1# bright copper traded at RMB 27,300-27,500/mt, the scrap copper supply was tight, while the downstream did not accept the high prices, so the two sides were in deadlock.
South China today 1# bright copper traded at RMB 27,600-27,800/mt, the traders delivered high prices, while the downstream was cautious about the purchase, leading limited transactions.
