On April15th, SMM A00 aluminum was quoted at19,680 yuan/ton, down80 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. It traded flat to the April futures contract (no premium/discount), with the premium narrowing by10 yuan/ton compared to the previous day. The SMM A00 aluminum (Foshan) price was reported at19,660 yuan/ton, down80 yuan/ton, showing a20 yuan/ton discount to the current month contract and a15 yuan/ton discount to the next month contract. According to SMM statistics, aluminum billet inventories in two key regions: Guangdong held129,200 tons, and Wuxi held35,600 tons, totaling164,800 tons – a combined decrease of4,600 tons week-over-week. Prices fluctuated during the first two trading days of the week. While processing fees attempted a modest increase in early trading today, weak downstream demand persisted with buyers maintaining a cautious, wait-and-see approach. Processing fees barely stabilized compared to yesterday as futures prices weakened during the session, resulting in overall tepid market activity.
