A Project With a Total Investment of 3.6 Billion Yuan Lands in Anhui Province

On March 24, the Hefei Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment in Anhui province released the first public notice on the environmental impact assessment information for the "Power Battery Recycling Project of Hefei Rongjie Power Battery Recycling Co., Ltd." The project has a total investment of 3.621 billion yuan and will construct new facilities including a battery pack disassembly workshop, battery cell disassembly workshop, leaching pretreatment workshop, iron phosphate workshop, lithium carbonate workshop, graphite regeneration workshop, and supporting production equipment. Additionally, new warehouses, office buildings, dormitories, and other public auxiliary facilities will be built. Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 84,000 mt of battery-grade iron phosphate, 18,000 mt of battery-grade lithium carbonate, 25,000 mt of LFP, 30,000 mt of graphite, 1.5 GWh of cascade utilization battery packs, as well as 7,400 mt of copper and 38,000 mt of aluminum as by-products.
