Nine Departments Unveil Plan for High-Quality Development of Aluminum Industry (2025-2027)

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and nine other departments issued a notice on the implementation plan for the high-quality development of the aluminum industry (2025-2027). The goal is to significantly enhance the resilience and security level of the industry chain and supply chain by 2027, making the overall development level of the industry chain globally leading. The aluminum resource guarantee capacity will be greatly improved, aiming for a 3%-5% increase in domestic bauxite resources and a secondary aluminum production of over 15 million mt. The industrial structure will be further optimized, and the construction level of aluminum processing industrial clusters will be further improved.
