SMM Daily Review: Silver Prices Edge Lower, Spot Premiums/Discounts Stabilize with Slight Increase According to SMM, in the Shanghai area today, spot standard silver ingots were quoted at a discount of 1 to 0 yuan/kg against TD or at a discount of 2 to 0 yuan/kg against SHFE silver contract 2504.

According to SMM, today in the Shanghai area, the spot national standard silver ingots were quoted at a discount of 1 yuan/kg to 0 yuan/kg against TD or at a discount of 2-0 yuan/kg against the SHFE silver 2504 contract. The TD premiums and discounts for large factory silver ingots were quoted at 1-2 yuan/kg. Today, the silver price saw a slight correction, with the spot-futures price spread returning to a contango structure. Some traders made purchases to build up inventory, but actual consumption remained relatively weak, with downstream maintaining just-in-time procurement. The market sentiment was cautious.
