On March 18, SMM A00 aluminum was quoted at 20,790 yuan/mt, down 30 yuan/mt, with a discount of 60 yuan/mt against the April contract, down 10 yuan/mt. SMM A00 aluminum (Foshan) was quoted at 20,800 yuan/mt, flat, with a discount of 45 yuan/mt against the current month, narrowing by 20 yuan/mt. (Unit: yuan/mt)

According to SMM statistics, domestic aluminum billet inventory in two regions: aluminum billet in Guangdong stood at 167,900 mt, aluminum billet in Wuxi at 60,100 mt, with a total increase of 400 mt. Today, SHFE aluminum maintained a consolidation trend. Suppliers stood firm on quotes, but the center of SHFE aluminum continued to move downward during the session. On the purchasing side, buyers maintained price suppression and purchased only on rigid demand. Suppliers, unable to stand firm on quotes, lowered processing fees, and market transactions remained weak. Today, the Foshan aluminum billet market was quoted at 110–160 yuan/mt, down 10 yuan/mt; Wuxi market processing fees were quoted at 180–250 yuan/mt, with 90 aluminum billets up by 20 yuan/mt; Nanchang region processing fees were quoted at 100–150 yuan/mt, flat.
