Jinchuan Group Achieves Breakthrough in Intelligent Copper Electrolysis Project, Producing High-Purity Copper Cathode

Recently, the Jinchuan Group's 400,000 mt/year intelligent copper electrolysis project reported a major breakthrough, with the successful production of the first batch of high-purity copper cathode in the second phase of the project. This milestone marks a new stage in the construction of Jinchuan's intelligent copper smelting plant, representing a landmark achievement in advancing new-type industrialization and fostering new quality productive forces.

Empowering Through Intelligence, Setting Industry Benchmarks

As a major strategic project listed in the province's 14th Five-Year Plan, the Jinchuan Group's 400,000 mt/year intelligent copper electrolysis project adopts advanced stainless steel permanent cathode electrolysis technology. It is the first to achieve large-scale application of independently developed, higher-performance stainless steel cathode plates by the province's "Three Enterprises and One University" initiative, successfully breaking the monopoly of imported products. The project has also successfully implemented industrial Ethernet, intelligent communication, and other technologies to achieve full-process digital control. By building a comprehensive intelligent control system and integrating equipment such as intelligent anode transfer, smart cranes, stripping robots, and infrared short-circuit monitoring, the project has significantly improved labor productivity, setting a benchmark for the digital transformation of the traditional copper smelting industry.
