SMM March 7 News: According to SMM communication, as of this Thursday (March 6), the total zinc ingot inventory across seven regions monitored by SMM was 134,000 mt, down by 11,300 mt compared to February 27 and down by 2,500 mt compared to March 3, indicating a reduction in domestic inventory. Inventories in Shanghai, Guangdong, and Tianjin decreased. Although there were imported arrivals during the week, downstream restocking increased at lower prices, leading to an overall inventory decline. Zhejiang inventory increased mainly due to higher imported arrivals. Additionally, more imports are expected to arrive later. If consumption does not match in time, the pace of destocking may continue to slow.
