【Aluminum Prices Pull Back, Secondary Aluminum Prices Remain Firm】Aluminum prices edged lower today, with SMM A00 aluminum prices dropping 80 yuan/mt from the previous trading day to 20,260 yuan/mt, while secondary aluminum prices remained basically stable. Domestically, large secondary aluminum enterprises maintained their quotes at 20,800-21,100 yuan/mt, while small and medium-sized plants raised their quotes by 0-100 yuan/mt to 20,500-20,700 yuan/mt. On the import side, overseas prices for imported ADC12 ranged from $2,440-2,470/mt. Due to the overall strength of domestic prices, real-time losses on imported ADC12 narrowed to within 200 yuan/mt. Aluminum prices dropped back slightly today, with most secondary aluminum plants remaining stable and observing the market. Following the upward fluctuation of SHFE aluminum during the night session last Friday, some manufacturers actively raised their prices by 100 yuan/mt over the weekend. After January 20, secondary aluminum plants will gradually stop taking orders and enter a centralized holiday period. Meanwhile, as downstream sectors suspend operations for the holidays, market transactions will gradually weaken, with a growing divergence between quoted and actual prices. ADC12 prices are expected to undergo narrow adjustments this week.
