Commerce Ministry Initiates Expiry Review of US Solar-Grade Polysilicon Countervailing Measures

[SMM PV News] It is reported that the Ministry of Commerce has decided to conduct an expiry review investigation on the countervailing measures applicable to imported solar-grade polysilicon originating from the US starting from January 14, 2025.

According to the recommendation of the Ministry of Commerce, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council has decided to continue imposing countervailing duties on imported solar-grade polysilicon originating from the US during the expiry review investigation period, in accordance with the product scope and tax rates announced in the Ministry of Commerce's Announcement No. 4 of 2014 and Announcement No. 2 of 2020.
