【Aluminum Prices Decline Further, Secondary Aluminum Prices Slightly Drop】Today, aluminum prices continued their downward trend, with SMM A00 aluminum prices falling by 220 yuan/mt from yesterday to 19,630 yuan/mt, and some secondary aluminum prices weakening. Domestically, large secondary aluminum enterprises lowered their quotes by 0-100 yuan/mt to 20,500-20,800 yuan/mt, while medium and small factories maintained their quotes at 20,300-20,500 yuan/mt. On the import side, overseas prices for imported ADC12 ranged from $2,430-2,460/mt. Due to the further depreciation of the RMB exchange rate, the real-time loss per ton for imported ADC12 expanded to around 500 yuan. Today, the decline in aluminum prices widened, but secondary aluminum factory quotes remained relatively firm, with a maximum decrease of 100 yuan/mt. Currently, the supply of aluminum scrap in the market remains tight, production costs for secondary aluminum plants are high, and finished product inventories are low, providing strong support for secondary aluminum alloy prices. In the short term, ADC12 prices are expected to remain more likely to rise than fall.
