[SMM Weekly Review: Domestic and Overseas Spot Alumina Prices See Slight Correction; Domestic Spot Alumina Prices May Largely Fluctuate in the Short Term]

The domestic alumina operating rate remained largely stable, while downstream demand saw a slight decline due to production cuts in Southwest China. The previously tight alumina supply has somewhat improved. Recently, spot alumina transactions have been relatively sluggish, with the transaction price center of sporadic spot alumina deals slightly lower than before. Spot alumina prices in Shanxi and Henan experienced a slight correction. The spot alumina market has not yet shown significant supply easing, but downstream buyers are highly cautious due to strong aversion to high prices, leading to conservative purchasing. In the short term, spot alumina prices are expected to largely fluctuate.
