[SMM Aluminum Spot Midday Review: Moderate Buying Sentiment in Downstream, Spot Premiums in East China Expanded] According to the latest inventory data from SMM, as of Monday, SMM reported domestic aluminum ingot social inventory at 546,000 mt, down 7,000 mt compared to last Thursday. Notably, inventory in Wuxi decreased significantly, down 10,000 mt to around 166,000 mt compared to last Thursday, while some rail shipments arrived in Gongyi over the weekend, increasing inventory by approximately 4,000 mt compared to last Thursday. From the outflows from warehouses data, downstream demand weakened compared to last week. Coupled with some squeezed inventory arrivals from Xinjiang, destocking weakened. It is expected that this week, SMMA00 spot premiums will mainly be small premiums or parity.
