SMM News on November 29: As of now, the supply and demand of bauxite have not shown significant improvement. In the short term, bauxite prices are expected to fluctuate upward, which is anticipated to further drive up alumina costs. However, even in regions with relatively high costs such as Shanxi and Henan, the production cost of alumina has not reached 3,800 yuan/mt. The increase in alumina costs is outpaced by the rise in alumina prices, leading to a continuous expansion of alumina profit margins.
