[SMM Data] SMM news on October 21: According to SMM research, as of Monday (October 21), the total inventory of zinc ingots in seven regions tracked by SMM was 125,900 tonnes, an increase of 6,800 tonnes from October 14 and 4,100 tonnes from October 17, with domestic inventories recording an increase. Inventories in Shanghai increased, as there were a relatively large number of imported zinc ingots arriving over the weekend, and downstream demand was weak due to high prices, leading to a significant increase in overall inventory. In Guangdong, inventories decreased slightly as regular deliveries were made to warehouses over the weekend, but downstream buyers replenished their stocks and made more withdrawals, resulting in a slight drop in overall inventory. Inventories in Tianjin remained flat as there was a slight delay in railway transportation from Xinjiang, and there was no improvement in arrivals at Tianjin warehouses over the weekend, while downstream purchases also did not increase, resulting in little change in inventory. Overall, inventories in the original three regions increased by 2,900 tonnes, and inventories in the seven regions increased by 4,100 tonnes.
