[SMM Data] News from SMM on October 10: According to SMM research, as of Thursday (October 10), the total inventory of zinc ingots in seven regions monitored by SMM stood at 113,100 tonnes, an increase of 13,900 tonnes from September 30 and 6,200 tonnes from October 8, indicating an increase in domestic inventories. The inventory in Shanghai increased, primarily due to a significant arrival of imported zinc ingots during the week, coupled with limited purchases by downstream buyers due to high prices, leading to a noticeable rise in overall inventory. In Guangdong, the inventory decreased slightly, as there were not many arrivals at warehouses in the region during the week, and downstream enterprises replenished their raw material stocks after the holiday, resulting in a slight decline in inventory. The inventory in Tianjin increased slightly, as the arrivals at Tianjin warehouses did not improve during the week, and the absolutely high zinc prices dampened downstream buyers' sentiment, contributing to a small increase in inventory. On the whole, the inventory in the original three regions increased by 5,900 tonnes, and the inventory in seven regions increased by 6,200 tonnes.
