Zinc Ingot Inventories Rise Sharply Across Key Locations in China, SMM Data Reveals

[SMM Data] SMM News on October 8: According to SMM's research, as of Monday (October 8), the total inventory of zinc ingots in seven locations of SMM reached 106,900 tons, an increase of 200 tons from September 26 and 7,700 tons from September 30, marking an increase in domestic inventory. Inventories in Shanghai and Tianjin rose as smelters maintained normal production during the holiday period, with continuous arrivals at warehouses, coupled with partial downstream withdrawals during the National Day holiday, leading to a slight overall increase in inventory. Warehouses in Guangdong also received regular deliveries, but downstream enterprises such as die-casting factories experienced poor orders and suspended production during the National Day holiday, resulting in a significant overall increase in inventory. Overall, the inventory of the original three locations increased by 6,600 tons, and the inventory of the seven locations increased by 7,700 tons.
