Vedanta Reports 500,000 Tonnes of Alumina Production in FY25 Q2, Down 7% QoQ, with Steady Output of Electrolytic Aluminium" On October 4th, Vedanta released its production data for FY25 Q2 (July-September). Among them, the production of electrolytic aluminium reached 609,000 tonnes (including 460,000 tonnes from the Jharsuguda plant and 149,000 tonnes from the BALCO plant), marking a 2% increase compared to the previous quarter. However, due to insufficient bauxite supply, alumina production stood at 500,000 tonnes, down 7% quarter-on-quarter but up 8% year-on-year, with the current annual operating capacity of alumina around 2 million tonnes.
