Gansu Launches Key Wind-Photovoltaic Power Project in Gaotai County for Green Energy Push

The Wind-Photovoltaic Power Integration Base and Consumption Industry Project in Gaotai County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province was recently successfully launched in Nanhua Industrial Park. The project, which has received approval from the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, is part of the country's third batch of key large-scale wind and photovoltaic bases developed in deserts, gobi deserts, and arid regions, aimed at promoting the development of green energy. Invested and constructed by Gansu Construction Investment Green New Energy Development Co., Ltd., the project will encompass 600,000 kilowatts of wind power facilities and 400,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic facilities, located in the northern part of Gaotai County, where wind and solar resources are abundant. Furthermore, the project will also include the construction of a 330KV substation and a large-scale independent shared hybrid energy storage system with a capacity of 1GW/4GWh. The total investment is estimated to be 9.3 billion yuan. Once operational, the project is expected to generate an average annual output of green electricity of approximately 2.1 billion kilowatt-hours, saving 650,000 tons of standard coal and effectively reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.75 million tons.
