[SMM Data] SMM News on September 23: According to SMM research, as of this Monday (September 23), the total inventory of zinc ingots in seven regions tracked by SMM was 115,600 tonnes, an increase of 2,200 tonnes from September 12 and 1,100 tonnes from September 19, indicating an increase in domestic inventories. The increase in inventories in Shanghai was mainly due to the large arrival of imported zinc ingots at warehouses in Shanghai over the weekend, coupled with rigid demand from downstream buyers amid high zinc prices, leading to an overall increase in inventory. In Guangdong, the increase in inventories was also due to the relatively large number of arrivals at warehouses over the weekend and rigid demand from downstream buyers for pick-up, resulting in a slight increase in inventory. In contrast, the inventory reduction in Tianjin was significant, as arrivals at Tianjin warehouses continued to be low over the weekend, and downstream enterprises purchased on an as-needed basis, leading to a further decline in overall inventory. On the whole, the inventory in the original three regions increased by 100 tonnes, while the inventory in the seven regions increased by 1,100 tonnes.
