China's Net Import of Alumina in July Reached -76,000 Tons" SMM reported on August 20th that according to China Customs, in July 2024, China exported 146,700 tons of alumina, with a cumulative export of 957,400 tons from January to July 2024. In July 2024, China imported 70,700 tons of alumina, an increase of 87.40% month-on-month but a decrease of 45.32% year-on-year. From January to July 2024, the cumulative import of alumina reached 1,255,700 tons, up 41.30% year-on-year. In July, the net import of alumina was -76,000 tons, and the cumulative net import from January to July 2024 was 298,300 tons. (Based on the 8-digit customs code: 28182000)
