July 2024 Sees Surge in Unwrought Aluminum Alloy Imports but Exports Decline: Customs Data

According to customs data, the import volume of unwrought aluminum alloys in July 2024 reached 96,700 tonnes, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.5% and a month-on-month increase of 9.5%. From January to July 2024, cumulative imports totaled 710,300 tonnes, up 15.5% year-on-year. In July 2024, the export volume of unwrought aluminum alloys was 18,000 tonnes, down 23.0% year-on-year and 13.5% month-on-month. Cumulative exports from January to July amounted to 134,700 tonnes, a decrease of 2.0% year-on-year.
