Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 17, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Low Altitude Economy Industry Alliance was officially established at the Tianjin College of University of Science and Technology Beijing. During the ceremony, 33 low-altitude economy-related projects, including a low-temperature battery production line and supporting factory construction, as well as the overall planning for low-altitude public air routes in the Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City, were signed.
The alliance, co-founded by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Baodi District, and various stakeholders in the low-altitude economy ecosystem—especially enterprises, universities, and research institutes—aims to deepen industrial cooperation across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The alliance is dedicated to building a hub for institutional innovation, talent aggregation, and industrial-academic-research cooperation, supporting
Tianjin’s Baodi District is regarded as a strategic frontier for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, possessing the necessary conditions to lead in the low-altitude economy. The area has already attracted companies involved in low-altitude aircraft R&D and manufacturing, service support, and low-altitude economic applications, and it hosts three training bases.
By 2027, Baodi District plans to establish two large-scale low-altitude comprehensive testing grounds and several take-off and landing points tailored to low-altitude flight routes. The region aims to develop a series of demonstration application scenarios and attract over 100 companies across the low-altitude economy's upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, establishing itself as a key hub for low-altitude economic development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.
