[SMM Analysis: Nearly No Increment in Domestic Aluminum Billet Supply in July! Significant North-South Differences Remain] In July 2024 (31 days), the total nationwide production of aluminum billets reached 1.427 million tons, a marginal increase of 3,000 tons or 0.2% from June 2024 (30 days). Compared to the same period last year, there was a year-on-year increase of 106,000 tons, also at 10.6%. In July, the operating rate of domestic aluminum billet production remained stable at 55.3% compared to the previous month. Surprisingly, the daily average output of domestic aluminum billets decreased by 1,000 tons to approximately 46,000 tons per day, rather than increasing. The lack of increase in aluminum billet supply pressure provides reasonable support for the sustained inventory reduction of domestic aluminum billets in July, the relatively strong performance of processing fees, and the high volume of ingots...
