[China's Share of Global New Energy Vehicles Reached 65% from January to June 2024] According to Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, global vehicle sales reached 43.9 million units, and new energy vehicle sales reached 7.39 million units from January to June 2024. The share of new energy vehicles in this period amounted to 16.8%, with pure electric vehicles accounting for 11%, plug-in hybrids for 5.8%, and hybrids for 6.3%, marking an increase in the proportion of oil-electric hybrids. In 2022, China's share of the global new energy passenger vehicle market exceeded 63%; in 2023, it accounted for 63.4% of the world's total; and from January to June 2024, this share continued to maintain at 64.5%, with China's share of the global new energy passenger vehicle market reaching 67% from April to June.
