Today, silicon prices in east China saw a slight decline. Standard 553# was priced at 12,300-12,400 yuan/mt, above-standard 553# at 12,600-12,800 yuan/mt, and 441# at 13,800-13,900 yuan/mt, with the average price down by 100 yuan/mt.

The silicon metal market remained quiet today, with few recent orders signed by silicon companies. Except for ongoing deliveries from futures and spot traders, orders from end-users and traders were scarce. Many silicon companies reported that although there were quotes, downstream inquiry and purchasing enthusiasm were very low, and the overall sentiment among sellers was downbeat. Some grades of silicon saw further price declines from certain silicon companies today, but transaction volumes remained unsatisfactory.
