Toyota started early in the field of recycling and reusing onboard batteries, but recent cooperation with China Minmetals Group and the construction of a battery factory in North Carolina, USA, are pushing this business to new heights. On April 12, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited the United States and visited Toyota's battery factory under construction in North Carolina, conveying information that Japanese capital will provide large-scale investment and job opportunities in the US.
