Beijing (Gasgoo)- At the China EV100 Forum 2024 on March 17, autonomous driving solution developer DeepRoute’s CEO, Zhou Guang, revealed that the company's end-to-end intelligent driving model was successfully adapted to mass-produced vehicles, set to hit the consumer market later this year.
DeepRoute claims to be the first Chinese AI enterprise to implement the end-to-end model in production vehicles. Currently, modular model-based smart driving systems still dominate China’s auto market, dividing perception, prediction, and planning into separate entities. "Modular models break down complex tasks into subtasks, leading to convoluted and error-prone solutions. The end-to-end model, however, addresses the problem at its core, seeking the optimal solution directly," explained Zhou Guang.
Since August 2023, DeepRoute has been conducting road tests with its end-to-end large model.
In March 2023, the company launched the DeepRoute-Driver 3.0 intelligent driving solution, which do not rely on high-precision maps, along with mass-produced products D-PRO and D-AIR. In June 2022, DeepRoute partnered with Deppon Express for autonomous driving freight transfer services, marking the first successful commercial deployment of autonomous light trucks in China.
In December 2021, DeepRoute introduced a factory-installed intelligent driving solution with a unit cost less than 20,000 yuan. In September 2021, the company completed a $300 million Series B financing round led by Alibaba. In July 2021, DeepRoute became the first company approved for autonomous driving demonstration operations in Shenzhen's central urban area.
