Social inventory of industrial silicon rose from pre-holiday levels

According to SMM statistics, the national social inventory of industrial silicon on February 19 totaled 357,000 tons, an increase of 3,000 tons compared with the levels seen before the Spring Festival. Among them, 106,000 tons are in ordinary public warehouses, an increase of 3,000 tons compared with before the Spring Festival, and 251,000 tons are in public delivery warehouses (including those that have not been registered as warehouse receipts), which is the same as before the Spring Festival. During the Spring Festival, the industrial silicon market is basically closed. Logistics in some areas begin to resume around the sixth and seventh day of the lunar calendar. During the holidays, inventory changes are mainly due to the arrival of goods from ordinary warehouses at the north and south ports. The Kunming area has low truck transportation capacity and high freight costs, curbing arrivals and cargo pick-up from warehouses. Inventories in delivery warehouses showed little change and were basically stable.
