Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 4, FAW-Volkswagen released its 2023 sales report, showcasing cumulative sales figures of 1,910,205 units throughout the year (including imported Audi vehicles), marking a 4.8% year-on-year rise.
Notably, all three FAW-Volkswagen sub-brands witnessed positive sales growth in 2023. The Volkswagen brand’s sales reached 1,050,017 units last year, edging up 0.9% from a year ago, maintaining consecutive growth for two years. Meanwhile, annual sales of the Audi brand, including imported vehicles, grew by 9.8% from that of the previous year to 698,188 units. In addition, the Jetta brand saw its annual sales volume hit 162,000 units in 2023, marking a notable 10.3% year-on-year increase.
In December 2023, FAW-Volkswagen celebrated the production of its 27 millionth vehicle, achieving this milestone in just over a year since the 25 millionth unit.
Embracing the future, FAW-Volkswagen accelerated its presence in the new energy vehicle market with the launch of the Volkswagen ID.7 VIZZION battery-electric model. Additionally, Audi introduced a new energy vehicle lineup featuring the Q4 e-tron, the RS e-tron GT, and the e-tron GT.
With all 58 digital transformation projects completed, FAW-Volkswagen achieved full-scale business digitization across product, production, and marketing, reinforcing research with advanced technology and successfully developing key projects in electric and hybrid electric technology domains.
