Quotes in Tianjin Spot Zinc Market Were Mixed

SHANGHAI, Nov 1 (SMM) - In Tianjin, #0 zinc ingot was mostly traded at 20900~21110 yuan/mt, Zijin zinc 20930~21120 yuan/mt, and Huludao zinc 24970 yuan/mt. In terms of premium/discount, #0 zinc was quoted with premiums of 10-70 yuan/mt over SHFE 2312 contract, and Zijin zinc with premiums of 40~80 yuan/mt. Prices in Tianjin were 120 yuan/mt lower than Shanghai prices.

As of noon, spot premiums of ordinary brand Chihong stood at -20 yuan/mt over SHFE 2311 zinc contract, Hongye 30 yuan/mt, Xinzi 10 yuan/mt, Kazakhstan zinc -40 yuan/mt (delivery in warehouse), KZ zinc -30 yuan/mt, and high-priced brand Zijin 40~80 yuan/mt. Zinc prices fell today, and there were certain differences in market quotations. The actual transactions were still mainly with discounts to the November contract. The price drop barely stimulated enthusiasm for downstream purchasing, and transactions remained weak; 1# zinc ingots were traded at 20,820~20,980 yuan/mt.
