China Aluminum Foil Exports Fell In August, How Will Exports Unfold In September And October?

SHANGHAI, Sep 26 (SMM) –Customs data shows that China exported 102,600 mt of aluminum foil in August, down 5% month-on-month and 20% year-on-year.

In terms of export destinations, the top five aluminum foil export destinations in August were India, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Thailand, and the United States.

According to SMM research, some aluminum foil companies reported that their export orders in August fell again compared with June and July. Based on the production schedule, aluminum foil exports in September may be affected. After entering the traditional peak season in September, some companies reported that their export orders have seen some seasonal improvement. Therefore, SMM predicts that aluminum foil exports may decline significantly in September but may rise again in October.
