Spot Transactions in Ningbo Zinc Market Were Lacklustre

SHANGHAI, Sep 12 (SMM) - In Ningbo market, #0 zinc was traded at 21890-22050 yuan/mt. The spot prices of regular brand were still quoted with premiums of 250-260 yuan/mt over the 2310 contract, and with discounts of 60 yuan/mt over the prices in the Shanghai market. Mainstream quotes in Ningbo market were generally against the 2310 contract.

In the first trading session, Tiefeng zinc was quoted with premiums of 250-260 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract. Yongchang zinc was quoted with premiums of 280-290 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2310 zinc contract. In the second trading session, the spot premiums were basically the same as in the first trading session. The current quotations of domestic zinc brands such as Tiefeng are lower than the price of imported SMC zinc. However, due to the strong SHFE zinc prices, domestic zinc transactions were still quiet.
