Cost Pressure Of Downstream Producers To Cap Gains Of Silicon Wafer Price

SHANGHAI, Aug 24 (SMM) –

The major transaction prices of monocrystalline silicon wafer M10 and G12 were 3.34 yuan/piece and 4.34 yuan/piece respectively this week. Silicon wafer prices kept creeping up this week.

Supply and Demand

This week witnessed a big bulge in price of silicon wafers. At present, low availability of silicon wafer in circulation, especially high-quality one, injected confidence into silicon wafer market and pushed up silicon prices. However, currently high downstream cost pressure may limit upside in the prices.
