According to foreign news on May 31, the Zambian government stated that Mwembeshi Resources, which develops copper mines in the Lower Zambezi River National Park, must immediately stop all activities.
Mwembeshi Resources must halt development of the $494 million Kangaluwi copper project in the wildlife-rich park, Kenya's Green Economy and Environment Minister Collins Nzovu said in Lusaka last Wednesday.
