As for China, accelerating industrial green and low-carbon development is also an important measure to promote new industrialisation. Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will also improve the quality and efficiency of comprehensive utilisation of resources, further improve the recycling system of new energy vehicle power batteries, promote full coverage of traceability management, strengthen the standardised management of steel scrap, paper scrap and other renewable resources industries, cultivate hundreds of key enterprises for comprehensive utilisation, and strive to consume 265 million mt of steel scrap in 2023.
