Aluminium Demand in Chinese Photovoltaic Sector to Soar 30% in 2023

SHANGHAI, Mar 6 (SMM) - SMM believes that the demand for aluminium from the Chinese PV sector will spike 30% year-on-year in 2023.

SMM estimates that the domestic PV sector will consume 2.84 million mt of aluminium this year, up 640,000 mt or 30% from 2022.

The applications of aluminium in PV industry are mainly in the form of solar module frames and solar brackets.
