MIIT: PV Rolled Glass Output Totals 16.06 Million mt in 2022, up 53.6% YoY

On February 2, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the report on the operation of the photovoltaic rolled glass industry in 2022.

In summary, the capacity and output of photovoltaic rolled glass posted a substantial growth while its prices hovered at low levels. There were 40 photovoltaic rolled glass producers nationwide, with a total of 442 production lines. The production capacity was about 84,000 mt per day. The cumulative output of photovoltaic rolled glass in 2022 was 16.06 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 53.6%.

The average prices of 2 mm and 3.2 mm (thickness) photovoltaic rolled glass were 20.8 yuan/m² and 27 yuan/m² respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 11.9% and 6.1%.
