Social Inventories of Silicon Metal Increased This Week and May Further Increase Next Week

SHANGHAI, Sep 16 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port shrank increased 1,000 mt from last week to 114,000 mt as of September 16. The inventory of Tianjin port and Huangpu port was flat from last week, but the shipment flow diverged. The overall shipment flow of Huangpu port was not active, which was less than half of last year. The shipment flow of Tianjin port was acceptable. The arrivals of Kunming city increased slightly, hence the inventory also increased slightly. As the National Day holiday is approaching, the transactions may improve. It is expected that the social inventory will increase slightly next week.
