SHANGHAI, Aug 9 (SMM) - SMM learned that on August 9, an aluminium smelter, with an installed capacity of 200,000 mt, in Sichuan province encountered an unexpected accident, affecting its operating capacity by 190,000 mt, with 10,000 mt of capacity already disrupted due to power rationing in the province in July. The impact of the accident is now expanding, and SMM will keep monitoring the progress.
