Sony opens a new track officer to enter the Bureau of Electric vehicles

Kenichiro Yoshida, chairman and CEO of Sony Group of Japan, announced Tuesday night that a new electric car company will be set up this spring, the latest technology company to enter the electric vehicle industry.

At (CES) in Las Vegas, Sony unveiled a new Vision S SUV prototype and announced the formation of a new company, Sony Travel Company, (Sony Mobility), to begin the commercialization of electric vehicles.

Kenichiro Yoshida delivered a keynote speech at CES 2022, showing off the Vision-S sedan that was unveiled at CES last year. This year, Sony added another model: the Vision-S SUV prototype.

He said the company is exploring the process of commercializing Sony electric cars. "Last year, we were very excited about the presentation of Vision-S, which encouraged us to think further about how to use ideas and technology to change people's travel experience."

Kenichiro Yoshida said: "this is our new Vision-S SUV." The development of Vision-S is based on security, adaptability and entertainment. Safety has always been our top priority in creating a comfortable travel experience. This has not changed when the SUV was developed. A total of 40 sensors are installed inside and outside the car to monitor the safety of the vehicle. "

Sony also announced that it will set up a new company, Sony Travel, to accelerate the commercial debut of Sony electric vehicles. This implies that Sony electric cars may appear in front of the public in the near future.

In addition, Sony also held a new TV product conference and announced the 2022 BRAVIA XR series of new TV products, including the 8KMini LED TV Z9K, 4KMini LED TV X95K, the A95K series with QD-OLED panel, the 4K OLED TV A80K and the 4K full-array backlit LCD TV X90K, all of which are equipped with Sony XR cognitive chips.
