SMM7 March 12: today, 45% molybdenum concentrate prices are 2300-2400 yuan / tonnage, 50% molybdenum oxide transaction prices are 2400-2800 yuan / tonnage, are stable than last Friday; 60% ferromolybdenum transaction prices are 14.8-153000 yuan / base ton, up 1000 yuan / base ton compared with last Friday; wire drawing molybdenum bar price is 340-153000 yuan / kg, up 10 yuan / kg compared with last Friday.
According to SMM, it is reported in the market today that a mine in Henan will hold a tender for the sale of molybdenum concentrate on July 13, with a base price of 2300 yuan / tonnage and a planned total of about 800t. The increase in supply, the low tender price and the slow rise in ferromolybdenum prices have enhanced the wait-and-see mood in the molybdenum raw material market, and the price has stabilized immediately. Ferromolybdenum due to the unreduced tender volume of steel mills, the market maintains a state of supply exceeding demand, and prices continue to rise. Molybdenum deep processing, due to the flat downstream demand, early prices remain stable, with the recent rising prices of raw materials, supporting the wire drawing molybdenum bar prices have tentatively risen.
In the short term, the domestic supply of molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide is still tight, and the mentality of sparing sales in domestic mines is serious, while the export volume of molybdenum concentrate in Chile continues to be limited due to the epidemic, and international spot prices are still expected to rise, so domestic molybdenum raw material prices are expected to continue to rise. At the same time, steel mills have a strong demand for ferromolybdenum, and it is expected that the prices of domestic molybdenum processing and other products will rise slightly.
