On the evening of May 25th, Guanghua Science and Technology (002741) issued an announcement that the 15th meeting of the fourth session of the board of directors of the company examined and passed the "Bill on efficient Comprehensive Utilization of waste Lithium batteries and expansion of High performance Battery Materials". It is agreed that the company will build a high-efficiency comprehensive utilization of waste lithium batteries and expansion of high-performance battery materials in the existing plant, with a total investment of 454 million yuan. Among them, the construction investment is 329 million yuan and the working capital is 125 million yuan.

Specifically, the high-efficiency comprehensive utilization of waste lithium batteries and the expansion of high-performance battery materials mainly include waste lithium iron phosphate cathode material recovery project, lithium battery negative electrode material comprehensive utilization project, lithium iron phosphate expansion project, iron phosphate expansion project and so on. The construction period of the project is 24 months, and the source of funding is raised by the company. after the project reaches production, it is expected to achieve an operating income of 863 million yuan / year and a total profit of 97.1235 million yuan / year.

Guanghua Science and Technology said that in view of the current development opportunities in the field of waste lithium iron phosphate recycling, in line with the concept of high-value recycling, economic and environmental protection, and based on the market advantages of existing iron phosphate and lithium iron phosphate products, the project adopts a leading recovery process for lithium iron phosphate cathode materials, which can improve the comprehensive utilization of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries and reduce recovery costs. To achieve profits while taking into account environmental problems, promote the healthy development of disassembly and recycling of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries, and form a virtuous cycle of recycling and industrialization of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries.

It is reported that Guanghua Technology achieved operating income of 2.014 billion yuan last year, an increase of 17.54% over the same period last year, while the net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was 36.1348 million yuan, an increase of 167.56% over the same period last year. Among them, in the new energy business sector, Guanghua Technology realized revenue of 288 million yuan from lithium battery materials in 2020, an increase of 19.89% over the same period last year, and revenue from echelon products reached 66.1667 million yuan, an increase of 2128.21% over the same period last year.
