Report: Lithium battery cathode project commissions in Shandong

SHANGHAI, Jul 11 (SMM) – Shandong Xindongneng Lithium Power Technology, a producer of power battery materials under Shandong Lubei Enterprise Group, commissioned the first stage of its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials project on Monday July 8, local media reported. 

With an investment of 200 million yuan, the project is designed with a total capacity of 5,000 mt/year of LFP materials and 5,000 mt/year of iron phosphate as by-products. 

The company's other project, with a capacity of 30,000 mt/year LFP cathode materials and 30,000 mt/year iron phosphate is still in the pipeline. It involves an investment of 1.22 billion yuan.
