SHANGHAI, Dec 17 (SMM) – China's imports of copper scrap gained 17.27% in November after they grew 7.02% month on month in October, showed data from China Customs.
November's imports stood at 242,900 mt in physical content, or 163,600 mt in metal content, with an average copper content of 67.36%.
Category Six materials accounted for about 62.4% of overall copper scrap imports while Category Seven accounted for some 37.6%.
Copper scrap from the US came in at 4,800 mt last month and its contribution to November’s tally fell to 2%, compared with 2.6% in October.
